- Howard Cosell, journalist, author, radio personality, columnist, sports commentator, lawyer, and television personality, who described himself as “arrogant, pompous, obnoxious, vain, cruel, verbose, and a showoff”; in 1993, TV Guide named him the The All-Time Best Sportscaster, in 1996 he ranked #47 on TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time; his brash style, made famous in his relationship with Muhammad Ali and changed sportscasting forever (1918-1995)
