Mini-Blog: “Lean Wellness - The Leadership Difference”

January 2, 2016

Lean Wellness differs significantly from traditional approaches to worksite wellness. Traditional wellness is typically driven from the top-down by leadership disengaged from promoting the health and wellbeing of its workforce.  Leaders who do not embrace the lifestyle behaviors that are being asked of workers, cannot inspire the continuous learning and improvement necessary for lasting behavior change. Only when inspired leaders 'walk the talk', support people, and trust them to find their own solutions to personal health and wellbeing challenges, will a culture develop that nurtures what's best for people and business. It must be inspired from the top-down, but driven from the bottom-up.
